About the District

I’m running to represent Mississippi’s 1st Congressional District — a vibrant corner of our state stretching from Tupelo’s rockin’ roots to Oxford’s literary charm, Columbus’s historic heart, and Southaven’s buzzing energy. Covering 22 counties like Alcorn, DeSoto, Lee, and Lafayette (and more!), our district is home to about 743,000 folks, with over 520,000 registered voters ready to shape our future. From rural landscapes to lively urban hubs, we’re a diverse district — 64% White, 28% Black, 4% Hispanic, and 2% Asian — where 23% of us hold college degrees and earn a median income of $60,877, less than the national average. As your next Congressman, I’m committed to making MS-1 the best place to work, raise a family, chase big dreams through education, and thrive in strong, healthy communities.
